Fanfic Request

Selena sat on her bed in the Battletram. It was early in the morning, and none of the other Aquabats had woken up yet. Selena ran her fingers through her hair, and stood up. As quietly as possible, she exited the Battletram and began a nice walk through the town. The town was surprisingly quiet and empty.

Selena wandered around for a while, wondering where everyone was. She finally made it to the edge of the town, where it ended in a nice, serene beach. Selena sat at the end of the beach and watched as the waves lapped up against the shore.

Suddenly, a large rumble shook Selena and rocked the waves. Selena sat upright and looked backwards, trying to find the source of the rumble. A loud roar exploded through the air, and Selena jumped to her feet in alert. Another crash caused another rumble in the distance. This time, a huge black wall of smoke rose into the air following it. Instantly, Selena ran towards the source.

As she made it there, she saw that the source was a giant monster that she couldn't describe. Two men that looked like the Aquabats were standing in front of it. They were talking to each other, but Selena was too far away to understand what they were saying. Expecting that they were the Aquabats that she had come to know so well, she ran up to them.

"Hey guys!" She greeted ecstatically.

The two men recoiled in surprise and turned to Selena. She smiled, but instantly frowned and backed up a step as she realized the men were none of the Aquabats. They looked just as surprised.

"Wh-who are you?" Selena questioned.

"I'm Adam," The one on the right greeted.

"And I'm Corey," The other one introduced, folding his arms and staring at Selena suspiciously. "Who are you?"

"I-I'm Selena," Selena stuttered. "I, I'm with the Aquabats...and I just thought that you guys were them..."

"Well, you're wrong on a number of levels," Corey snorted, turning back towards the monster.

"But...but you're dressed like them..." Selena pointed out.

"Yeah, but long story short. We are from the same island the Aquabats came from, but we aren't Aquabats," Adam explained.

"Why not?" Selena asked.

"It's a complicated story..." Adam sighed. "But we ask that you do one thing for us. Don't tell the Aquabats that you met us. It's ordered strictly by the Professor that they don't know we're here."

Selena blinked in response. She nodded shortly to let them know she understood. "S-so...what happened here?" She wondered, changing the subject.

"A monster came out of the sea and attacked us. But it was no problem. He was sorry he met up with us," Corey answered, giving the monster a good kick.

"We were just going to throw it back in the ocean and clean up the mess it made. Would you mind helping us out?" Adam suggested.

"Sure!" Selena answered happily. She wasn't sure how the three of them were going to drag that giant beast back to the ocean, but she didn't say anything.

Adam walked up to the monster and put his hand on it. Corey put his hand on Adam's shoulder. Adam turned towards Selena.

"Come take my hand," He ordered.

Confused, Selena walked up and reached forward towards Adam. Adam grabbed Selena's hand. In a second, the background darkened into a strange, stormy canvas. Colors swirled around Selena, and formed and stitched together into the beach background. Suddenly, all of them were standing at the beach shore. Without responding, Adam and Corey began shoving the monster back into the water. Selena needed a second to process what was happening before she started to help them. She figure that questioning it wouldn't help, so she kept her mouth shut.

Once the monster was back in the water, Adam and Corey turned around and started walking away. Selena took a second before turning and following them. Just before she started walking away, a rumble agitated the water, and a ring of water rippled and kicked at Selena's ankles. She turned around just in time to see three more of the same monsters come out of the water.

"Uhhhhh...guys?" Selena alerted.

"Oh, oh yeah. Thanks kid," Corey answered.

"Guys!" Selena yelled.

"What is it-" Corey cut off as he turned around and saw the briny monsters rise from the ocean. His mouth gaped open, and he nudged Adam on the shoulder. Adam did the same.

"What do we do?" Selena asked.

"We fight them of course! We took the last one down easily!" Corey answered. He back flipped towards the shore. As he landed, he bunched the muscles in his leg up, and launched himself up towards the middle monster. Just before he could get within two feet of the monster, it raised it giant gnarled hand and slapped Corey back to the ground. Corey flew to the ground and landed hard on the sand. He skidded across the sand and bounced across it, stopping so far away that Selena couldn't see him anymore.

"Stand back, Selena. These beasts are too powerful for someone like you to handle," Adam instructed. He disappeared and reappeared on the right monster's shoulder. The monster in the middle growled and punched the monster that Adam stood on. Adam quickly disappeared. He reappeared on the left monster's shoulder. The monster growled angrily and moved to punch Adam. Adam dodged it swiftly, not seeing that the middle monster was rearing back to hit him. He noticed too late, and the monster slapped him towards the ground as Corey had done as well. By then, Corey had recovered and was getting ready to attack again.

Quickly, using a telekinesis sort of power, Selena grabbed the left monster's knee and pulled its leg out from underneath it, knocking it to the ground. Surprised, the other monster's didn't know how to respond.

"Hurry! Get the one that's down!" Selena barked at Corey. Corey nodded and ran towards the monster that had fallen. While he did, Selena shot rays of energy at the other two monsters. Surprised, the other two monsters fell. "Adam! Get the one in the middle! I'll get the one on the right!"

Adam, who had recovered, obeyed and teleported on the fallen monster. Selena took the last one, and continued blasting it with energy.

Finally, after a while, the three monster had been defeated. Panting heavily, the three of them collapsed on the beach.

"How did you do that?" Corey asked Selena.

"I guess you could say that I'm magic," Selena explained.

"That's useful," Adam observed.

Selena smiled and nodded.

Suddenly, more rumbles shook the ground. The three of them looked to see that yet more monsters had risen from the ocean.

"How in the world..?" Adam gasped.

"No time to ask, let's keep fighting them! They won't know what hit them!" Corey growled, launching himself once again at the monsters. Adam quickly followed. The monsters growled angrily and slapped and punched at the two. Selena watched in horror as the monsters easily battered at them. Finally, they grabbed the two and threw them back towards the shore.

"This is no use, we need help!" Selena yelled at the two.

"No...we don't," Corey grunted. He quickly got back to his feet and launched himself towards the beasts. One of them opened its mouth, showing jagged, deformed teeth prepared to chomp down on Corey. Acting quickly, Selena used her telekinesis to grab Corey and carry him back to the shore.

"Yes you do!" Selena argued. "Now I don't care what you've been told. I'm getting the Aquabats!"

Without waiting for a response, Selena ran towards the Battletram. When she made it there, she was panting.

"Guys! I...need your...help..." She gasped.

Jimmy was standing nearby as she came in. "What?" He asked.

"Come with me..." Selena ordered. "Get...the others..."

Jimmy nodded and walked into the next room. He said a few things that Selena couldn't understand, and the other four Aquabats were soon with Jimmy. Selena ran out of the Battletram and ran towards the shore.

When they made it there, the Aquabats gasped in horror.

"What...are those?!" Commander exclaimed.

"Who cares, we need to get rid of them! Come on!" Selena barked.

The Aquabats nodded and made their way towards the beasts. "Crash. Get big!" Commander ordered.

"I can't! I'm not mad enough!" Crash responded. Selena ran over to him, threw him an apologetic glance, and kicked him hard in the knee. Crash screamed in pain, and grew up to fifty times his size. He briefly thanked Selena before running towards the beasts and knocking two down with just one punch.

Ricky ran with his super speed across the water and ran around the legs of another monster, tripping it after a while. Jimmy and Bones teamed their lasers up and shot them at a few of the monsters. Selena and Commander teamed up, and Selena used her telekinesis to lift the Commander and send him flying at the monsters to punch them.

They continued this for a while. The monsters continued coming, and the Aquabats continued downing them. They were no match for them.

Suddenly, one of the monsters larger than any of the others appeared from the water. It balled its huge fingers into a fist and punched Crash straight in the nose. Crying in pain, Crash stumbled back and shrunk back to his normal size. With the same fist, it slapped Commander to the ground. He slammed into Ricky, and the two of them skipped across the water. The attack also threw Selena's concentration off, and she fell to her knees on the sand.

The monster reflected the lasers from Bones and Jimmy off its arm, and shot them back at the two. The lasers hit the sand around Bones's and Jimmy's feet, and they crashed to the ground. It had even knocked Corey and Adam to the ground. The monster roared and lifted its foot out of the salty water. It slammed the foot back down on the water, sending a giant wave that crashed down on everyone. Sand, saltwater, and seaweed slapped Selena in the face and sent her flying back. When she found her footing again, she made a bubble around herself and pushed the water away. She then formed another bubble around the rest of the Aquabats, protecting them from the rest of the wave. Corey and Adam were nowhere to be seen. As the water cleared, Selena faced the monster. It had made it to the shore, and it raised its fists and roared. It threatened to slam its fists on the sand.

"Hurry! Jimmy, Bones, shoot lasers now!" Selena ordered. Jimmy and Bones got their feet and began shooting lasers towards the beast. As it got hit, it flinched back and roared angrily. "Ricky! Try to trip it again! And Commander, get over here!" Ricky got up and started running around the monster's feet. The monster attempted to step on Ricky, but he was too fast for it. Selena lifted Commander and launched him towards the back of the monster's knees. "Crash! Grow big again and try to tackle the monster to the ground!" Crash did just so. Finally, the monster fell to the ground. "Everyone! Step back! And Crash, throw me in the air!"

Everyone obeyed, and Crash grabbed Selena and threw her straight into the air. As she fell, Selena front flipped several times, and threw a giant beam of energy at the face of the monster. The monster roared and fell limp, finally admitting defeat. Selena landed delicately on the monster's chest. Crash lifted her off of it, and placed her gingerly on the sand. Afterwards, he lifted the monster and threw it far into the ocean.

"Whew! That was close!" Adam sighed, appearing from nowhere with Corey.

"It sure wa-" Commander cut off as he faced Adam and Corey. Every one of the Aquabats turned towards Adam and Corey, mouths open and staring in unbelief at who they were seeing.
